The application was developed by Bally Technologies (NYSE: BYI), a Las Vegas-based company that designs, manufactures, operates and distributes advanced gaming devices, systems, and server-based solutions worldwide. The application, which will eventually be available to other brands of 'smartphones,' includes a detailed map of the property, information about restaurants and other on-site amenities, and access to Club Greektown members' accounts giving members the ability to check comp, point and ticket, and cash back balances.
Greektown Casino-Hotel is to unveil the application to 250 of the casino's top players, each of whom are to receive a free iPod Touch, at a special VIP party Friday in Eclipz Lounge. Greektown Casino-Hotel today became the first Michigan casino - and one of the first in the nation - to launch a free Apple iPhone application to help guests and players' club members get more out of their gaming experience.
